1. How has my son progressed throughout this semester?
My son has shown dedication and determination to meet or exceed his goals. He has learned about the use of computer technology to convey his message. His thoughts and abilities to communicate has improved. I am sure that in time he will discover new knowledge and abilities. He has boundless potential and is now just at the surface of his capabilities. I am proud of his progress and look forward to more creative writing.
2. How do you think his learning is improving or How do you think is work is different from last year?
He is putting more effort in his thoughts and has improved his writing abilities. The help of these blogs allows him to document his thoughts and experiences both negative and positive. This also helps his ability to reach beyond his limits. The sky is the limit to his potential.
3. What studies has he done at home to work on his traits?
He has spent more time on his computer writing blogs. Asking more questions, and doing his own research to gain more knowledge. He understands education is continuous and involves many hours of hard work towards reaching his desired goals. I am sure that as he continues his creative writing using technology, he'll discover what his reals endeavors in life are.
4. What should he do better to become a student?
He should really stick to a planned schedule to balance his time. Having played on the Moanalua Football team, allowed him to learn about being competitive, being a good student, being accountable and to be determined to succeed in life, school as well as sports.

College final
Stanford University
“What matters to you, and why?”
What matters to me is my family, they mean the world to me. The support I get from them is very high and they motivate me every day. They strive me with my sports, school, and at home. What matters to me is my football coaches. Because they motivate me to come a better man and to become a better person in life so I can come succsessful. My coaches tell me how life will go and how I should get better every day. They tell me to catch the ball every day. I want to come to a better person because not everybody in life can go to college. Not everyone can become successful. I want to separate myself from everyone who is on the same page as me as size, academics, skill, and try to push myself to outwork them and to become better than them.
Mentality is the word that comes to my mind when I play football. It gives me a motivation that no one else has. It tells me that whatever my body can't do my mind will. My mentality tells matters because that's what everyone has. We all have a type of mentality that no one knows. Our mind is something that no one can get into. If someone's mind is thinking negative I have to think positive. If my opponent is negative from the start, I know I've already won. I know that when I'm working out with my team and my coach tells us we have to do more than the usual I will go more than the usual because it's what my mind tells me .
My effort matters to me because its something no one can judge, effort brings me to a level that I never been to. My effort describes me because I try to push my self everytime, I may make some mistakes but I will learn from it. My effort strides me to go another mile, to write another essay, to do all of my chores every day. Effort tells me how I will become a better man.
My coaches motivate me to go another round. They get in my head to help me get better or to tell me I have to pick it up. Football matters a lot to me because it can take me a long way in college and it can take me to a whole nother level. My mentality and my effort will take me on a journey to college and to a successful life

I am in Jihad I support my country and I don't like this place. I don't like how i am treated and i don't like how this place is made. I wish i had a home like all the rich people in the other countries. I don't like living in a house that is just a square and made of bricks with insects, bugs, and more. All i hear everyday is bombs everyday and I dont think i have a choice but to respect my country and fight for my people.
I am huge and muscular and I want to tell you that when you get huge and muscular you can be a champion. I look up to God all the time when i get rewarded because i give all my honor and glory to him. All i know is that pain is temporary and Victory is forever. And i am finally successful. I look up at the sky with all the confetti falling on me. Thanking my family and all my teammates for making me a mvp. I want to thank my YMCA gym for making me have big muscles. I want to continue my journey and help other students become good.

coming of age final
My parents asked me if i wanted to join any sports and I told them that I didn't want to play any sports because i was scared of failing or getting hurt. But my parents knew i had something in me. They made me try out for flag football. My parents told me to just try my best. I was about 7 years old at that time and i didn't really know what was happening. When I had my first football game i stepped on the field at ewa. I looked at my opponents and they were 5 times my size. My dad put me with the big boys so he could toughen me up. I was so scared that i would make excuses that i didn't want to play but my parents would make me play anyway. I got plowed over mostly every time I tried to go in. My dad told me to never give up and stop being so scared. So i listen to him and tried harder and i finally got in there and pulled the flag .
Finally flag football season ended and my dad asked me if i want to go play tackle and the second he asked me i immediately said “no”. He kept motivating me to play because he said that failure is not what brings you down is pushes us to get up and keep fighting. He got me to try out for tackle football and I did. The coach put me in as the d line and i've been getting tackles all game. I knew i was strong enough to be the person i can be and i knew that God would always be on my side. Tackle football for kalihi Jaguars really taught me how to be discipline and that parents work hard for us to play sports and to buy the gear for us. Football made me stronger and more tough so i don't cry anymore. My dad motivated me through my whole football times.
As i grew older, high school came around and i had to focus more on my work, I wanted to be as smart as i can be so i can go to college. My dad taught me that if i wanted another way to go to college, i could get a football scholarship and they would pay for my college for free and i wanted to take a lot of pride in that so i don't have to let my parents pay for college football in high school was really tough because if the running i didn't do in a long time. High school football really changed me to becoming a grown teenager because the coaches really taught me how to set my goals and that hard work comes from your effort. They taught me that effort comes from me and only me. I could use the information my good coaches teach me in school so when theres work that is hard, all i have to do is put effort and the teachers would see that I'm working hard. Football changed my life from when i was a kid because it makes me want to make dreams that are very amazing.

He saved my life in my dreams but in real life I feel like a loser because he never want to high five me.;(
This old lady came up to me and smiled with her fake teeth and asked me to give her money for her medical bill. I gave her money because i thought she was poor and lonely. she gave us dinner after that and she said sorry for robbing you.

Genki Sushi
Ala Moana
Honolulu, Hawaii
Dear Genki Sushi Administration,
My family And I have been eating at Genkis for many Months. Your great sushi and your really good food has been keeping me a satisfied customer for a long time.
However, we been having some issues lately with the food. This last week I went to genki sushi with my family. When we ordered food to eat it was really good and we had a lot of plated that day. My brother had about 7 plates and my mom had about 10 and i had about 10 and it was really good I wanted to come back and get some more when we left. But when we left I was really full and it was a Good ride home. When I got home I felt a little sick and i was wondering what got me sick. I didn’t want to get sick that day because the next day I had practice for football. I found out my stomach was getting sore and i thought it was from the cereal i ate. But when i looked online I found out that genki sushi is closing because of a sign of Hep A and I got really scared because i thought i was going to get hep A but lucky I was not. I found out that I just got a stomach flu because of how much food i ate, and I wanted to know who is shipping all the food to genki and how genki should really find out what was inside of the food product before taking it.
In conclusion, I really like the food and even if you guys closed down i will still eat there because it is really good and after I send this message I hope they really look over their food products before sharing it. Thank you for making me a satisfied customer.
Sincerely, Javon Monico

Complaint Letter to genki sushi
Facts:
- Officials have confirmed 168 cases of the virus since June, including dozens of people who required hospitalization, saying imported frozen scallops served raw at Genki Sushi are likely to blame. The scallops were imported from the Philippines, according to the Honolulu Star-Advertiser, and distributed by the Honolulu-based wholesale company Koha Oriental Foods.
- The The virus, which sickens those who consume contaminated food or water, is highly contagious and spreads fastest in settings where personal hygiene is subpar or sanitary conditions are poor. Those who are infected stay contagious for up to two weeks, and are often most contagious before symptoms ever appear.
- This virus should be checked and whoever is sending genking sushi should watch what kind of food they are shipping out.
- A lot of complaints towards genki sushi, I think they should keep working on it because there food is really good
MY personal experience, I didn't get hep a but when i ate there I got food poisoning when i got home i had a stomach flu and I didn't feel like going back there. But the food was really good and i want to know who was sending you the scallops and get to the bottom of this

Depression
Depression is a serious part of some of our lives that we really have to watch out for. Mostly with teens, but with adults it can happen to because everybody has feelings. " As we grow up we take the voices of people who were significant with us". Depression can really be serious when it comes to your life. Depression can separate you from your family and your friends.
Depression can be a good learning experiment for the person because she can get away with depression and teach other people to live a better live. Some things that can lead to depression could be some things people say on the internet, or some other things could be what other friends say about you or what happened between your parents. Some kids don't really have married parents so they have to live with one parent. So some kids get into the depression stage which can cause life problems. Kids can have poor social skills and relationships. "teen fail to meet parental standards or peer group standards.
Depression can lead to a low self esteem is the underlying cause of much of the depression people suffer such as things you can't do well. Always negative about your self, or when it comes to being successful things like negativity. Basic thinking and parent issues is a big thing too. Not being close to your parents is a really sad thing and now days we should teach our students how to start conversations and to teach them better life skills so our society doesn't really become negative.
Some people lack the knowledge of knowing who they really are they have to look in the insides and stop writing about the outside of them. Depression is dangerous because it could lead to suicide problems. Depression is something we have to be curious of because when one person feels like suiciding it affects the whole family and it can really leave a permanent mark to our parents feelings and they could go through depression too. But the different between adults and teens is that adults can handle their own problems and with teens they just don't know where to put them.
Depression could have a good and bad to it. The good part of depression is that when we get over it could be a good learning experience and we could teach other people how to prevent it. The bad thing about it is that it could lead to many things like what I said above. But we have to learn from our mistakes and be a blessing everyday.

The Merchant of Venice Final Draft Essay
Trust is the root to all relationships. The only way the world can hold together is by trusting one another. Our society is brought together by our trust we have in each other. It is key to trust each other so we can have peace in the world. In the novel the Merchant of Venice by William Shakespeare, it portrays a story of what people would do for trust, such as Bassanio and Portia gaining trust to build their lives together. The merchant of venice by Shakespeare teaches us that relationships only can be earned by trust.
In the novel, trust is the only thing that could hold lives together even through our religious believes. The first thoughts of Bassanio and Portia is like the roots to the tree, the tree looks upon the roots and the roots take care of the tree. They both have faith in each other rather if its sharing money or having the same religion. But sometimes there are struggle in their relation ship like bassanio breaking a promise to her and she states " no just listen to me. Pardon this fault, and I swear by my soul that ill never again break a promise to you. (5.1.250). Then she dresses as a lawyer, and says , "And, in token of your love, ill take this ring from you" (4.1.223). Bassiano doesnt want to give up the ring at first but ends up giving it up. This was done so to test Bassanio's loyalty and also his trust.
Further in the novel, you can understand that there is a trust issue between different religions and how people in this play are mean to each other because of their religion for example when Antonio spit on shylock he states after the talking about the deal " Ill no doubt call you a dog so again and spit on you and kick you, too! If you lend this money, don't lend it as if to your friends. What kind of friendship makes money from a friend? (1.3.127) and antonio confidently accepts the bond for he has great faith in his merchant ships. In our real world some people would lend other people money as long as they give it back. But we cant ask for interest from those who has been trusted because it might not work. Though Antonio is processing to be a better person of a man, it is not enough for shylock to trust him. It is shown that Antonio did not like to have business with shylock. At the end of the deal for a loan, Shylock says " If you don't repay me on such a day, at such a day, such sum or sums as are in the contract, let the forfeit be agreed for a full pound of your fair flesh" (1.3.110). Their relation ship is even known to the public. To trust another as much as the world this would have a lot of love. The more trust we have for each other in the world the more love and hard work we could have for our society.
As a result, the play reminds us that trust is not given with each other. There for Antonio who's reputation is well known, he will need a lot more than just a reputation to gain the trust of others to do harder work. Even when we are tested at times by those with did not fully trust we will still put in that hard work. We learn that we need to work hard to earn the trust from other people.

merchant of venice
Justice, cruelty, friendship and love comes to life. Think about how our world is with blind love, blind justice, trading and laughing. In the book The merchant of Venice by Shakespeare, tells us how justice is blind, love is blind, and how we trade with each other. "Money is the root to all relationships.
When we trade or have a deal we should always tell the other person what would happen to them if they don't do it because that's what would make them do it. Shylock and Antonio Make a deal that Antonio is willing Shylock to cut his flesh. When comedy comes to the novel just like when Old Gobbo and lancelot were talking because old Gobbo is blind and they are father and son. They were talking like how are you and how do you look like. And then lancelot was like feel the back of his head and old Gobbo said you have a nice beard and we all had a good laugh.
Love is blind because Portia's father had to let her pick a guy but she wants a guy who is right for her not who her father picks or who's rich or better. Jessica and Gratiano escape to love each other and get married But they couldn't because there was problems between them like religion, love, money or law.
All of those words relate to each other relying to the book. Love is related to religion because we have to love each other according to the religion, love relates to money because you have to buy the ring for your wife and pay mortgage. Love is related to law because we have to respect the judges and love the government that takes care of us. Love related to this book because it is funny and has a lot of religion and marriage in it.

Her father gives her decisions on men for her to choose and then portia feels that none of them are suitable. So she would just want to be a virgin her whole life and die as one. Characteristic Analysis
Lennie is diagnosed with Mental Retardation because he is younger that 18 and he always has to get George in trouble. Lennie would always kill the animals when the animals would bite his fingers like when he said " I'd pet 'em, and pretty soon they bit my fingers and I pinched their heads a little and then they was dead". Lennie would always say things plaintively meaning a sorrowful saying when he is frightened. And him saying things softly that he doesn't want to get in trouble isn't the right personality for his size.
Lennie isn't bright he would always have a young child attitude. George wouldn't want to leave Lennie's side because he doesn't want to be alone all by him self by the river. Lennie would always get George in trouble but George said that if you get in trouble Lennie I wont let you tend the rabbits. Like when he said " but you ain't gonna get in no trouble , because if you do, iI wont let you tent the rabbits." As he threw his empty bean can off to the brush. " I wont get in no trouble".
Lennie's personality beyond him being tall, big, dumb, stupid, We could just say he got kicked in the head by a horse and besides being dumb he sure isn't that bright. But Lennie and George sure will get along and watch each others back. As George says, "he got kicked in the head by a horse when he was a kid. "he's awright." "just ain't bright" . Lennie and Curley don't get along because Curly said "he likes a lot of little guys." He hates big guys" So Lennie would always get picked on by him and Lennie wont be so manly about it. So George would have to talk about it

Final "Coney Island Life" by Javon Monico
Having a hard life where all your hopes go away from you and you don't know where to go in your life. Life can knock you down but you can always get back up. Although life could be challenging you could always look up to someone who inspires you to live your passion. You wont regret your self being successful you will only regret being a failure and not having to take any chances anymore in your life. Life is running and we might have to take some risk before it ends. "A Coney Island Life" by James L. Weil , shows us that through all the obstacles in your life live your hopes and dreams because you will never know when your time is up.
The poem seems that if life knocks you down always try to get back up from all the obstacles in your life. Ask your self how much time you think you have before you go. The poem describes James L. Weil having a hard life and wondering "how many times round I have to catch that brass-ring-sun" after all his hopes filled with helium fly sky high away from him, in this line Weil explains how he cant take any chances in life anymore and how he has all the weights holding down is life and he thinks to him self how much more weights can I take before I fall. "Now arms filled with dolls I threw so much for I take my perhaps my last ride" is planned that when all your work you put into and everything you did goes far away from you, take your last journey to enjoy your life before its time to leave his planet-carousel, Weil is trying to portray, the fact that on those weights chained on to your life will eventually fall as your life moves on and it wont permanently be there.
In comparison to his life to a carnival and James L. Weil predicts in his poem "on rollercoaster ups and downs" describes that their will always be ups and downs in your life and you just have to make the right choices and not fall into regretting the negative things in your life. Always trying to go for the successful things in life so you don't have to carry all those weights on your life. He stated "How many more times round I have To catch that brass-ring-sun Before the game is up." Meaning, life as a mystery you don't know how much choices you have to take but as long as you take the right choices that doesn't lead you to regret the negative things in life the weights that is chained onto your life should fall.
Although life is a very short matter of time the poem reflects about our rise and falls of life and how you should live it to the fullest. Take your life on a journey and never leave any moment back because you will never know what you might miss. Always try to take your hopes and dreams back if they fly away from you, just like how Weil said when his hopes and dreams flew away and left him but it will fall eventually. For all the games you win and for all the things you do, always try to win again and never wait till the game will end. Through all the weights and obstacles in life. Having a positive lifestyle will take you out of all the regretting in your life and lead you to a successful life before it ends.

I am a TouchDown Poem by "Javon Monico'' (Final Draft)
Through obstacles and tricks,
Running through bricks,
run to me and get your six,
Setting goals by making a play
Only 4 downs to make your day,
To score, and make the opponent pay.
Always wanting your hopes and dreams,
Catching and running that ball left and right,
Go for the touchdown because you only have,
Go for the touchdown because you only have,
4 plays to win the fight,
After you score you go for one more,
I am a champion,
to get the trophy in store.
I make people happy with my game winning score,
but I will make you sad and you'll fall to the floor,
When i'm hurt I will still stand still,
I will be still worth points,
and will be waiting to kill,
who ever comes to me will win, but who ever doesn't
will pay the bill.
but I will make you sad and you'll fall to the floor,
When i'm hurt I will still stand still,
I will be still worth points,
and will be waiting to kill,
who ever comes to me will win, but who ever doesn't
will pay the bill.
Tearing a muscle or breaking a joint
Im only worth 6 plus a point,
Running with all your might through all your walls,
Remember to have faith before your heart falls,
I will be the person with that crown,
The only reason why I'm a touchdown
