Characteristic Analysis
Lennie is diagnosed with Mental Retardation because he is younger that 18 and he always has to get George in trouble. Lennie would always kill the animals when the animals would bite his fingers like when he said " I'd pet 'em, and pretty soon they bit my fingers and I pinched their heads a little and then they was dead". Lennie would always say things plaintively meaning a sorrowful saying when he is frightened. And him saying things softly that he doesn't want to get in trouble isn't the right personality for his size.
Lennie isn't bright he would always have a young child attitude. George wouldn't want to leave Lennie's side because he doesn't want to be alone all by him self by the river. Lennie would always get George in trouble but George said that if you get in trouble Lennie I wont let you tend the rabbits. Like when he said " but you ain't gonna get in no trouble , because if you do, iI wont let you tent the rabbits." As he threw his empty bean can off to the brush. " I wont get in no trouble".
Lennie's personality beyond him being tall, big, dumb, stupid, We could just say he got kicked in the head by a horse and besides being dumb he sure isn't that bright. But Lennie and George sure will get along and watch each others back. As George says, "he got kicked in the head by a horse when he was a kid. "he's awright." "just ain't bright" . Lennie and Curley don't get along because Curly said "he likes a lot of little guys." He hates big guys" So Lennie would always get picked on by him and Lennie wont be so manly about it. So George would have to talk about it
