Characteristic Analysis

Lennie is diagnosed with Mental Retardation because he is younger that 18 and he always has to get George in trouble. Lennie would always kill the animals when the animals would bite his fingers like when he said " I'd pet 'em, and pretty soon they bit my fingers and I pinched their heads a little and then they was dead". Lennie would always say things plaintively meaning a sorrowful saying when he is frightened. And him saying things softly that he doesn't want to get in trouble isn't the right personality for his size.

Lennie isn't bright he would always have a young child attitude. George wouldn't want to leave Lennie's side because he doesn't want to be alone all by him self by the river. Lennie would always get George in trouble but George said that if you get in trouble Lennie I wont let you tend the rabbits. Like when he said " but you ain't gonna get in no trouble , because if you do, iI wont let you tent the rabbits." As he threw his empty bean can off to the brush. " I wont get in no trouble".

Lennie's personality beyond him being tall, big, dumb, stupid, We could just say he got kicked in the head by a horse and besides being dumb he sure isn't that bright. But Lennie and George sure will get along and watch each others back. As George says, "he got kicked in the head by a horse when he was a kid. "he's awright." "just ain't bright" . Lennie and Curley don't get along because Curly said "he likes a lot of little guys." He hates big guys" So Lennie would always get picked on by him and Lennie wont be so manly about it. So George would have to talk about it

Final "Coney Island Life" by Javon Monico

Having a hard life where all your hopes go away from you and you don't know where to go in your life. Life can knock you down but you can always get back up. Although life could be challenging you could always look up to someone who inspires you to live your passion. You wont regret your self being successful you will only regret being a failure and not having to take any chances anymore in your life. Life is running and we might have to take some risk before it ends. "A Coney Island Life" by James L. Weil ,  shows us that through all the obstacles in your life live your hopes and dreams because you will never know when your time is up.

The poem seems that if life knocks you down always try to get back up from all the obstacles in your life. Ask your self how much time you think you have before you go. The poem describes James L. Weil having a hard life and wondering "how many times round I have to catch that brass-ring-sun" after all his hopes filled with helium fly sky high away from him, in this line Weil explains how he cant take any chances in life anymore and how he has all the weights holding down is life and he thinks to him self how much more weights can I take before I fall. "Now arms filled with dolls I threw so much for I take my perhaps my last ride" is planned that when all your work you put into and everything you did goes far away from you, take your last journey to enjoy your life before its time to leave his planet-carousel, Weil is trying to portray, the fact that on those weights chained on to your life will eventually fall as your life moves on and it wont permanently  be there.

In comparison to his life to a carnival and James L. Weil predicts in his poem "on rollercoaster ups and downs" describes that their will always be ups and downs in your life and you just have to make the right choices and not fall into regretting the negative things in your life. Always trying to go for the successful things in life so you don't have to carry all those weights on your life. He stated  "How many more times round I have To catch that brass-ring-sun Before the game is up." Meaning, life as a mystery you don't know how much choices you have to take but as long as you take the right choices that doesn't lead you to regret the negative things in life the weights that is chained onto your life should fall.

Although life is a very short matter of time the poem reflects about our rise and falls of life and how you should live it to the fullest. Take your life on a journey and never leave any moment back because you will never know what you might miss. Always try to take your hopes and dreams back if they fly away from you, just like how Weil said when his hopes and dreams flew away and left him but it will fall eventually. For all the games you win and for all the things you do, always try to win again and never wait till the game will end. Through all the weights and obstacles in life. Having a positive lifestyle will take you out of all the regretting in your life and lead you to a successful life before it ends.
