Genki Sushi
Ala Moana
Honolulu, Hawaii

Dear Genki Sushi Administration,

My family And I have been eating at Genkis for many Months.  Your great sushi and your really good food has been keeping me a satisfied customer for a long time.

However, we been having some issues lately with the food. This last week I went to genki sushi with my family. When we ordered food to eat it was really good and we had a lot of plated that day. My brother had about 7 plates and my mom had about 10 and i had about 10 and it was really good I wanted to come back and get some more when we left. But when we left I was really full and it was a Good ride home. When I got home I felt a little sick and i was wondering what got me sick. I didn’t want to get sick that day because the next day I had practice for football. I found out my stomach was getting sore and i thought it was from the cereal i ate. But when i looked online I found out that genki sushi is closing because of a sign of Hep A and I got really scared because i thought i was going to get hep A but lucky I was not. I found out that I just got a stomach flu because of how much food i ate, and I wanted to know who is shipping all the food to genki and how genki should really find out what was inside of the food product before taking it.

In conclusion, I really like the food and even if you guys closed down i will still eat there because it is really good and after I send this message I hope they really look over their food products before sharing it. Thank you for making me a satisfied customer.

Sincerely, Javon Monico

Complaint Letter to genki sushi

Facts:

  1. Officials have confirmed 168  cases of the virus since June, including dozens of people who required hospitalization, saying imported frozen scallops served raw at Genki Sushi are likely to blame. The scallops were imported from the Philippines, according to the Honolulu Star-Advertiser, and distributed by the Honolulu-based wholesale company Koha Oriental Foods.
  2. The The virus, which sickens those who consume contaminated food or water, is highly contagious and spreads fastest in settings where personal hygiene is subpar or sanitary conditions are poor. Those who are infected stay contagious for up to two weeks, and are often most contagious before symptoms ever appear.
  3. This virus should be checked and whoever is sending genking sushi should watch what kind of food they are shipping out.
  4. A lot of complaints towards genki sushi, I think they should keep working on it because there food is really good

MY personal experience, I didn't get hep a but when i ate there I got food poisoning when i got home i had a stomach flu and I didn't feel like going back there. But the food was really good and i want to know who was sending you the scallops  and get to the bottom of this
